Classes for Kids and Adults
Our Aerial Arts and Acro program at Kids First offers a one-of-a-kind experience for students to explore the captivating world of aerial silks, lyra (aerial hoop), and acrobatic arts. More than just a fitness activity, this program allows participants to develop artistry, grace, and self-expression through the creative world of aerial arts. Most importantly, we provide an environment that supports and encourages our students to attack new challenges in a safe and positive setting, while doing some pretty cool tricks!
Aerial Arts is a rapidly growing art form thanks to the popularity of entertainment companies like Cirque du Soleil. We combine athleticism, strength, flexibility, and artistry while offering challenging and fun learning opportunities. Throughout the year we will have a series of awe-inspiring performances, where students showcase their incredible skills through aerial and acrobatic routines.

Meet Grace! Grace Ridge grew up in Cincinnati and is a former Queen City Gymnastics & Queen City Storm athlete. She cheered her freshman and sophomore high school years and joined the Milford dance team her junior and senior years.
Grace began her aerial silks career as a Northern Kentucky University student as she pursued her art career, graduating with a BFA in Sculpture from NKU. Grace’s passion for art took her from her hometown of Cincinnati to St. Pete, Florida where she ultimately joined the Tetons Art Council at the Art Association of Jackson Hole. Fortunately for Kids First, Grace returned to her family, and her roots of Cincinnati, to raise her young daughter.
Not only did Grace return to Cincinnati, but in July of 2022, she also returned to Kids First; home of her youth athletic training. Grace joined Kids First to assist in leading the Aerial Arts and Acro Department, and more importantly, to share her love of Aerial Silk with young students in our community. Grace is now the Departmental Leader of the Aerial Arts program where she dedicates her time and energy to teaching kids to climb, drop and spin on the silks and lyra!
We feel Grace’s leadership role is directly related to her experience and development as a part of Kids First community so many years ago. Grace recognizes her opportunity to positively influence the next generation of Kids First students as well as being an example of our Unifying Principle of Perpetual Growth. “This place has always been a home to me and I am so blessed to be back”.
