EXPERT INSTRUCTION ...
The teaching team at Nishime Family Karate has the patience, skill, experience, and dedication to bring out the best in students of all levels. They are totally committed to helping you and your child set your goals and achieve them through friendly, helpful teaching methods.

With over 40 years of experience in the martial arts, Master Instructor, Kiyoshi Nishime has taught thousands of students in the tri-state area. A native of Okinawa, Japan, Sensei Nishime moved to the United States in 1973 to teach karate. In 1998 he was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Japanese government for his contributions to martial arts and was recognized as the 1999 National Instructor of the Year by the Amateur Athletic Union. He now teaches seminars world-wide. As the father of three and grandfather of four, he has seen first-hand how training in Karate together benefits families.

Sensei Ben Nishime is a 4th Degree Black Belt with over 15 years of training in martial arts. He was a member of the AAU National Karate Team and medaled in 4 World Championships. After teaching under the supervision of his father/teacher for several years, he began running the Bright location full time. Sensei Ben is known for keeping students motivated with his fun, high energy class.

Sensei Jason Nishime is a 3rd Degree Black Belt who has been training for almost all his life. He achieved his Junior Black Belt at just 8 years old. He has completed in numerous competitions and has won 8 National and 3 International titles. He enjoys teaching students of all age levels and abilities.

What to wear
A Karate uniform is needed and may be purchased in our Bee Hive Gift Shop. No shoes are required. Once the student is sparing, the required equipment includes: Mouthpiece, Headgear, Handguards, Shinguards, Groin Protection.
